Music is his World Ð SoundTrack_Cologne Achievement Award for Christian Bruhn

There is probably hardly a German who has never hummed one of the melodies by Christian Bruhn: WICKI, HEIDI, CAPTAIN FUTURE, TIM TYLER, SILAS É No other German active in the music industry can claim to have created the sound track of an entire generation.

BruhnÕs music for television has forever become part of the memory of generations of television viewers. Added to this are around 2000 songs (Marmor, Stein und Eisen bricht; Wunder gibt es immer wieder), more than 100 jingles (Milka, die Zarteste VersuchungÉ) and about 150 childrenÕs songs. The 75 year old is one of the most successful and versatile composers and without doubt one of the most humorous colleagues of his trade. Before receiving the SoundTrack_Cologne achievement award on November 27, 2010, Christian Bruhn will talk about his life in music and the good old days of the ZDF family series in a workshop talk. _

The highlight of SoundTrack_Cologne: Christian Bruhn, who has written unforgettable music for WICKI, HEIDI or TIM THYLER, will receive the Achievement Award. After the music category was dropped as part of the German TV Award (Deutscher Fernsehpreis) DKV, Composers Club, mediamusic and SoundTrack_Cologne will present the German TV Music Award 2010. For aspiring composers there are the European Talent Award and the Peer Raben Music Award. The eveningÕs host is actor and musician Ill-Young Kim.
